Hello out there at the digital world receivers! We welcome you to our second GEHIRNfutter Podcast episode. We are Uwe Volk and Thomas Tankiewicz. And we are the co-founders of the NEURONprocessing Institute for Brain and Future Research. In our second episode we want to focus on the topic of perception.
With our GEHIRNfutter podcast we see ourselves as a travel companion to the limits of our consciousness and our perception - based on modern brain research.

Online Conference - "Schools of Trust". In German: There are alternatives to the mainstream school system?
Here is an excerpt from the program:
"Here you will find answers, impulses and inspiration, how we can give our children what they really need. For this we talked to teachers, brain researchers, school leaders, scientists, educators, authors but also parents of free students, free students who are currently at a school, free students who went through such a school and are in life today."
Many interviews explored the questions of how far:
- children are by nature curious and thirsty for knowledge and WANT TO LEARN?
- Learning happens most sustainably through ENCOURAGEMENT?
- Children are inherently social beings and WANT to fit into the society in which they live?
- ERRORS are part of the learning process and a valuable component of independent learning?
- FREE PLAY is the child's natural activity and the foundation for all further learning?
- SOCIAL LEARNING does not take place as the teaching of subject matter, but in daily interaction?
- Grades, classwork, homework, etc. are NOT NECESSARY for the learning process?
- that our REGULAR SCHOOL SYSTEM unfortunately can't offer that?
Among others, Prof. Dr. Dr. Manfred Spitzer - who is himself the father of 5 children - was interviewed:
In it, among many other interesting contents, the connection between positive learning success and the formation of self-confidence was shown. But his "hammer statement" was that for 50 years findings about brain-based learning have not been implemented in everyday education. I found this so extreme that I am currently researching the topic further.

III TALK
One of the focal points of our podcast is the topic of perception, which we want to explore more deeply on our joint journey of knowledge. And here we approach the topic differently than with the topic of consciousness: First from the scientific side and then we also want to rethink the topic in our think tank and present the results here in the further course.
